Well, for one thing, the fastest S chassis in Time Attack here (Hankook JIC S15) is almost 9 seconds faster at Button Willow than the fastest T.T. Z in VRT's stable, same for the M Werks Z which is tuned by XS Engineering.
It's 1,000 lb's heavier.
And this past weekend, both those same Z's were still 4 seconds slower than the S15. It's the weight,

Yea I was looking at the results tonight, and DAAAMMMN the JIC S-15 is FAST/QUICK whatever you want to call it. They cut 1:08:9 something wich was on par with the porshe(1:08:2 something iirc) & the porshe won outright!!! So yea if you are on par in terms of power, braking,& grip then weight is the big killer.

if you ran CF doors would that still bump you up in class ?? I was at the flag stand (below the bridge w/o any fence obstuctions) when the s2k went up. the motor was still at high rpm when it went to. it didn't shut down like most motors i've seen. haha c. rado's motor had a garage sale as much metal it spit out.

Yes it will bump you up. But our car is going in that direction anyway. I doubt we will be running the street class again.

Rado's car was like a Pachinko machine spewing out metal bearings plus flames for extra consumer excitement! I can imagine how the conversation went when he went back into his Uber Trailer and logged in via satellite to the giant head back at HQ. That's 2 strikes for Mr. Rado.

In my Silvia, yessir i am.
That car was pulling some good times out there. I wasn't able to run my Silvia last week because we ran out of time. But the Z guys allready know my car is going to be a serious threat this season. It's really great to see the company cars out there and meet the people behind them. But i'm gettin strapped up for business this year.

That Z is amazing. It ran like .277 second behind the #1 car out there in modified RWD and beat out a GT2 with 600 hp. I admire that car.

Jim Wolf= Divinity
And we dropped a 90lb turd by swapping out the stock hatch for a carbon one, and just reinstalled the oem glass to stay legal in Street Class.
This car will see our new 5lb carbon doors next month after it gets a full cage.

Thank's
The S14 has the stock SR20det it came with. The only thing i recently added was the Brian Crower valve springs with Ti spring retainers. All new exhaust valves.
The rest, are bolt ons. But good bolt ons.
The JIC S15 is no longer going to run Time Attack as of last weekend (so the team tells me), could be a trick. But they have a new 350Z coming soon. The S15 will go back to drift.

Yes the S Chassis has a real advantage over the Z. I actually read somewhere that the fastest Z to run the Tsukuba circuit had an SR implanted in it.
