haltech help

ok i will try and make this short

a shop put a haltech e8 on my ka-t and said all i need is a base map to get it running. i had to relocate my battery because of the intercooler cold pipe so i did not have a battery in the car. so i get home and go to hook up the battery as soon as i hooked it up it sounds like the the ecu is clicking or somewhere down by the starter i could not tell. and a loud noise its hard to say what it sounded like, ok when you take a lighter and a can of wd40 and spray it real quick and it way my guess it came out the exhaust.

i dont want to take it back to the same shop i dont trust them at all anymore. so i need someone why knows haltech not oh i think i can do it. i live in palmdale/valencia ca, any help would be great

which shop out there gave you that haltech?

I'll shoot you a PM, I might be able to dig up some contacts from when I lived in Palmdale.

Probably better to post this in the regional section, might get more hits. I'd also wait for john to reply first, b/c you know that if he recommends some one, it will be legit.
