Copper spray should be fine.
Some gaskets do not require copper spray, and some people believe adding this is detrimental to the performance of your headgasket. Of course, muscle car guys swear by the stuff and have used it for decades. So, to be sure, read the instructions/directions that came with your gasket. If you're still not sure, contact the manufacturer. Good Luck! |

thanks for moving it whoever did it. i poseted in teh wrong section. they are oem gaskets so they didn't come with any instructions. i don't think i'm gonna spray anything b/c i don't know where to get some and i don't really see it helping it seal b/c its a metal gasket not a paper.

you dont want to put anything on those gaskets.. this is the exhuast so it gets really hot.. it would just burn that stuff up. you should be good to go!

NO and NO
They are OEM replacements, and need no extra help in the form of copper spray.

You only use copper spray for the headgasket, not the exhuast gasket. Just tighten the nuts to proper torque and dont over torque them or youll risk stripping/breaking a stud off.

Haha! Reading owns me.
I didn't even notice that you were NOT talking about a headgasket. Disregard what I said...if it isn't too late. |
