A/C kills car. It's hot as $H!t in Arizona.
Hola,
Tengo un problema con mi carro. Si predo el puto A/C, se mete el aire al culo y se apaga!! This actually started happening in the end of last summer, but since it was pretty much over i didn't really bother to fix it(I just manually bumped my idle up a bit). Now that summer is back with 100 plus degree weather i have to fix this pronto!!!! Even with a bumped up idle it's still happening now. I'll be as detailed as possible: If i turn the A/C on my idles will start to drop little by little until it kills my car. Sometimes it doesn't happen right away; I can drive for 10 - 15 miles fine, but sure enough IT WILL happen. I can drive with my foot on the gas but whenever i put the clutch in BAM!! Car turns off. On a side note (Which i'm sure is mutual with my A/C culprit) i have a random rough idle at times; My car will just idle at 1300 - 1500 just when i'm sitting at a light. Also random, my car won't idle on it's own during start ups. These two are really sporadic however and i can't say much on it. Now, i have a suspicion if i switch out the IACV it should fix both. However i would like some second opinions before i do this because i was planning on buying it new from Autozone(Having though luck finding one here) and that can be expensive. ITS GET FUCKING HOT HERE IN THE SUMMER PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Not much help from my part BUT don't buy IACV from auto zone
Go to a junkyard and get an OEM part I'm telling you cause my dads ford ranger had an idle issue, replaced IACV with new one from vatozone and problem continued. We got one from the Junkyard and problem solved |

Check your gearbox neutral sensor, your ECU uses that to bump revs on idle when sudden load happens (like A/C , headlights and so on)
It just is a switch, so either check it on the gearbox itself, or better on the ECU pins. If you have a BOV, recirculate it. BOVs leaks at idle. Always. Check for the usual boost leaks too (same effect as a leaking BOV) If all these are ok, it may be more serious. Check engine compressions. |
