Background info on me and my car. I'm currently a full time student at FAU pursuing Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Mathematics in Boca Raton,FL. I'm originally from Tampa. I love drifting, friends, studying, and keeping to myself a lot lol. I got my 240 when i was 15. I enjoy all music Hardcore, Rap, Metal ect... I'm also a huge video game, anime and manga nerd. I love that shit. I'll list my favorite music, manga, anime, and my dream car list, just so you guys can know who i really am!
Dream Car set-up: Jzx100-Daily/drift car newer f350- daily/tow rid 930 RWB Porsche-garage car r32 4door w/ a 1jz- Competitive drift car Favorite Bands/Artist: Issues The Tempations Micheal Jackson Memphis Mayfire Underoath Daft Punk Suicide Silence Biggy 2-pac SOD A7X TDWP Blink-182 R, Kelly Usher Dream Theater Green Day The HAARP Machine Old Kayne West stuff(his new shit sucks and has no feel to it) BMTH Sky Eats Airplanes Miss May I Final Fantasy Soundtracks The Bunny The Bear Anime OP's and ED's Outkast The Drifters ECT..... i like anything haha except country! Anime: Too many to list but just a small list Kill La Kill SAO Gintama One Piece really the list is ongoing for fucking ever this includes manga too Video Games: All RPG's (Dragon Quest, FF series, Zelda series, Pokemon, Fallout series, KH series, Ni No Kuni, Tales of series, Persona series, Xenosaga series... ect..) I hate xbox, love sony and i own every sony console except the PS4 because i rather have cool drift car And select shooter like Titan Fall, Bioshock, and BF games. I love my family and would do anything for them. And they're are my biggest supporters especially my mom who's an angel who's put up with all my shit almost getting arrested for street sliding, helping me pay for events when I didn't have money. Taking me to school when I broke something on the 240 haha. My brother who's car really made me want a 240 so much. He was also a big help on helping install all the motors ive gone through, pulling all nighters getting my jz finished up and getting it to the dyno. There's a shit ton of people that have helped me but you guys would hate me if i continued, but the last kid is seriously my right hand man along with my best friend my little cousin. Now this kid has been with me through hell and back with this build, with hoping onto of curbs (which ill get to further in the story), when i was sliding my car in the rain and we flew into the woods right in-between 2 fucking trees and came out with out a scratch and continued to slide. But we've been through a bunch of shit lol. this dude is rad as fuck is another big supporter of mine. Now with the build starting all the way back in 2009 when i first bought the 240 it was single cam 5 speed for $700. I Didn't know how to drive stick for shit and thought myself and drove around in a 4x4 single cam 240. I also had no mechanic skill what so fucking ever. 1st thing i ever did was weld the diff so I can slide in the back of my school which was all dirt. Had a fucking blast in the schools parking lot. Then i bought my first set of old rusty as fuck stance coilovers, control arms all circuit sports, and 5 lug from Ichiba and a bunch of other suspension goodies to get ready to go drifting. (**Note fuck ichiba and their customer service better off just going with isis or oem shit**). But I became best friends with the dude who was with the dude who sold me the stance coilovers. Sean who was the kid who sold me the coilovers was with who is now my best friend Tyler and the kid that got me into drifting. Here's his old s13 (which you guys can all hate on but we trashed that shit after he hit a gaurd rail a couple times lol) and his 1JZ (which was the main reason i went 1jz) LS400 which we also junked due to money issues with his buisness. The ls400 I helped him build was on stance nations facebook, and we junked it and sold everything off of it so he could get more money for his business. and there it goes lol!!! Back to the main story. A couple weeks after I threw on all the new suspension parts i blew my single cam. Pissed as fuck I had no idea what was going on with the car. It had threw a rod and knocked. This was where I learned how to work with cars and swapped a dual cam into the car. And with the dual cam I did literally everything to swap it in with no knowledge of mechanic. Then went to my first event at cfrc, I was such a noob and didnt know i needed a helmet and my friend had let me borrow his. And god damn i blew so much dick rode the hell out of the clutch and burnt up the oem clutch disk. Smelled like straight ass hair burning the whole 2 hour drive. My aunt helped me out and bought me a ebay clutch (Which went through so much abuse and never let me down ever!!!!!) Then I went to my second event full auto at the st. pete times forum. This is where I finally knew what the hell to do. Had a lot of people jump in the car with me and helped me out. I still sucked of course but i was progressing. (I was also straight pipe ka24de which was fucking terrible and obnoxious) Then i continued going to events and street sliding with my buddy Tyler and kevin for the rest of the year. And started getting good! Then I fucking shredded through my wiring harness and a bunch of other shit street sliding. The car never ran right ever again. so it was parked for a while and had to get it towed home. (which happened a lot when i went SR20) Then my buddy let drive his sr20 and fell in love it. So I worked my ass off throughout the winter break doing odd jobs here and there to save up for a sr and other parts for it. Then after all the hard work it paid off so nicely! Still was 16 and did my 1st sr swap alone, man did i do a shitty job. I then blew the clutch on the sr and yes it was a ebay clutch i didnt know any better!! Tried swapping out the clutch with a local company that made them to slide at the 1st frankenslide event at cfrc. Missed it because I didn't adjust the pedal correctly and the car wouldn't go into gear. Knowing that now i felt like such a noob and felt so left out at that event )): After i got the car running good is started to just load up on tires and just fucking destroy them. Tried manjing down a main road and fucked everything up suspension wise on the car. The stance coils beffy as fuck were the old part on the driver side that didnt get destroyed. got solid rear bushings for the car to start making my suspension set-up better Blew 4 transmissions it never eneded haha!! Last event before i tore everything down to get more power out of the t25.
Got wheels for getting straight A's my mom is awesome haha!!! My friend fucking with me when i was buying something at the store haha!! Now i start my tear down to go external wastegate, z-maf, 560cc injectors, and 1bar of boost. Fucking loved this set-up!!! It was so awesome to hear a external wastegate for the 1st time ever!!!!! Made more torque than i did power on this set-up hahaha!!!!! if anyone wants more power out of their t25 this is the best route to go!!! New Setup . - YouTube Raced my friend before we went street sliding and walked him haha (not really) I started to get more consistent with my driving and the car linking the bank entry end of the day blew up the clutch on the car due to blowing up my fucking transmission had to get another transmission and clutch and this time I didn’t fucking cheap out on the clutch set-up!! (random picture at my school with my auto teacher haha) |

Then I sold my coils and got myself some new fortune auto coils and they’re amazing!!!
Got new gloves for Christmas from my mom, such a bad ass mom haha!! Then saw a group buy from chaser aero on their kits and got one lots of adjusting had to happen Then I got a pit bull puppy that was about to get euthanized. PEOPLE ADOPT YOUR PETS!!!!!! Shes such a sweet dog and loves children and people! Got tires for the upcoming event Yes I drove like this for a while and eve at the event since I was trying to wrap my dash but didn’t finish on time pics from the event with aero on well ½ of it on haha Picture of the motor set-up Then I bought a 4runner for a daily so I could save up and build the car better and man did I love the A/c haha!! Picked up a new ebay exhaust from some dude We cut the shit out of the fart can and welded a 3”to4” reducer and a 1’ 4” stainless It looked really rowdy and sounded so mean! And painted the aero all one color! Was loving this car so much!!! Got more tires from tireman ybor Then off to my next event loved this car so much and it drove like a dream Saved up a shit ton of money and bought sweet fucking gauges and made the cluster from a cnc machine and had it powdered coated. Then pulled out all the interior in the car while hanging out with my other dog Oreo then got a deal on a t28 from a local for 100$ and got a new tial qr bov. After installing the new turbo went and did a burnout in my drive way haha Got the car tuned again to make sure I get everything out of this t28 on 1bar of boost Made 298hp and 305tq After the dyno I wanted to build up my suspension for more angle OPS knukles 25mm extended control arms offset rack spacers abercombie tie rods Got an alignment at a buddys shop Front: Camber -5 Toe 0 Caster 7.5 Rear:Camber -.5 Toe0 Afterwards did a little shake down before I went to events again. Car felt awesome and even faster. I never was consistent with my set-ups. I was always changing something ever 3 months to the car. So I never go use to the new set-ups for long. Then went to another event in the car and I fucking killed it…. Seriously! album of pictures from the event https://www.facebook.com/pedro.j.ort...2524121&type=3 Videos from that day: Best video of the night linking the whole bank. I fucked shit up that day, broke the inner bolt on the offset rack spacer, fucked up my intercooler and had it ziptied, blew off couplers left and right. But I had a fucking blast that day Then I went off to school for the fall semester 300miles away. leaving the car home and drove the 4runner. I had withdrawals like crazy lol. During school really didn’t do anything car related since I barley went home. But I did pick up a sponsor while I was gone and had my brother drive to their shows to show off my car |

Then after the fall semester I went on winter break and went to another event at Desoto. I slide fucking terribly, the motor didn’t have enough power to spin new 245’s on 40psi and I was just frustrated trying to feel the car. Along with that day the cage drivers went about 1000x’s more than non cage drivers so I got no seat time. Then just fed up with the motor I sold everything off. And my frined talked me into buying a 1JZ and man I was down for over a year doing this swap and commuting back and forth to school.
Sold everything in my car and garage sr related after the event |

After selling everything i started to buy all the parts necessary. also re-did my cluster due to the fact that the old apexi tachometer did not read correctly and made another cluster and bought a stri 60mm tachometer
boxes of parts and parts 44mm tial holset he351 before powder coating ebay manifold, cheap as shit and it works, but i did brace it with stainless steel rods ebay intercooler core my friend welding the flange on manifold welding the wastegate flap for external set-up aem 3.5 bar map sensor how the garage was for most of the time since i was at school and couldnt really work on the car plasti dipped the car, hating it so much now cant wait to get it painted with actual real paint..... t3 flange on a t4 manifold powder coated rear housing on the manifold front housing picked up the motor in miami while i was at school. the motor sat in the back of my 4runner for like 3 weeks haha tore it down painted it bought real tools to start building up my collection stripping everything replaced everything that i could timing belt, water pump, all gaskets ect.. breathers for the valve cover to catch can test fitting everything fuel lines all an russel shit stripping interior to re-wire chassis re-did everything on the chassis harness to switchs and relays and kill swich blah blah blah brake lines engine bay ready for the motor |

r154 extension 3"
forgot to add i gave my mom my 4runner and bought my self a f350 w/ a 7.3 uhaul trailers suck for low cars went to the dyno and my sensors were not reading right and so i had to sort the problem with little time i had before i went back to school so i gave up on it and asked Mark Panic to make me a harness. the before and after haha brother made the labels for the switch panel got new tires for all my wheels the car made awesome power and torque, and my 1st time driving it tuned blew up my diff was scary haha and locked up my rear end when i was braking. so my buddy sold me his nismo 2-way forgot to wire up windshield wipers haha forgot to put this in here but this is my high pressure power steering line from the rack to the pump driving the car around and having fun in it finally! now im back at school getting by barley and busting my ass to finish this semester hoping that i can keep my gpa where its at lol. random pics lol |

cool dude, awesome campus, engineering isn't the best here but the classes are small so the teacher will get to know you better. As of now, my strengths of materials class has 40 students. I think at UF they had over 150 students lol

im going to try, but its all about the money and if my truck wants to cooperate with me and fucking run correctly. i still need to do a shake down somewhere to get a feel for the power of the car. Its making over 100 more than my sr20det.

Id only have the money for pbir. and its registered but the luxury of just having a truck and towing the car to events is just a lot more convenient. I might just hit up a local spot by my house in tampa and see how the car reacts. no problem! I'd like to help out others with suspension, and with 1jz swaps. yea my fb build is everywhere haha

because they dont have enough people to go so they stopped. its 20 min from my house, the last time i drove it, there were maybe 7 people driving including me. yea you get alot of seat time but its more fun with more people. tracks sick, just paved, no bumps anywhere and its good on tires.

Uhaul trailers are terrible for low cars. The wheel tracks have the angled "lip" pieces in the middle, and will pinch the frame rails. I had to try the wooden blocks as well, and it was terrible. Better off investing in a trailer at this point. Never looking back, and they could be had at a deal if you are looking thoroughly. Love the car, keep it up!

Thanks dude, and ill get one once i get a job over the summer, or a internship. And for the future when money is good heres what i plan on getting done
-Cosmis MRII and S5R's or some wheels with lip -over fenders -crash bars -bolt in cage(I'm never going to do Pro-Am or crap like that. I just want to tandem at local events and have fun!) -isis dual 4" exhaust -326 power wing(some knock off one since im cheap) -bride reps(Sprint 5 sparco seat sucks but does a bad ass job) -PBM rear drop knuckles(car is super low and want to make the geometry of my arms, and axle as level as possible!) -dual caliper set-up (With a pbm hydro with wilwood reservoir, my own lines, and wilwood calipers) -repaint the car red, i hate plastidip so fucking much i tolerate it because my brother paid for everything and even sprayed it but never again. |

thanks for checking it out!!! I'll be sure to update as much as possible. Nothing really much to do to the car except take it to events and work out what ever bugs come my way with it.

Damn good work. Love the tow truck by the way.
Do you have a run down on whats needed for a 1jz swap? I originally planned to do 1uzfe swap because its different and its a great motor but thinking to shovel out some extra cash and do a 1jz swap and not sure where to find a run down of whats needed. |
