horrible surge!!

from the moment i dropped in my sr its had compressor surge like no other! its a s14 sr20det. all the vacuum lines have been looked at several times so theres no leaks. i tried to recirculate the bov so there is barely a whistle and it still surges.. its a hks ssqv so there is no way i can tighten or loosen it. i dont know what else to do. also i have it on the cold pipe side and its welded by a flange so theres no way i can move it to the hotpipe... please help!!!!!

is the bov in working condition? can you compress it with your fingers? it may be seized.

theres a single line not being tee'd of into one of the nipples under the tb.
and it should be working its brand new it. my boost gauge reads -18hg and idles perfect.
and i havent tried compressing it yet? not sure what that means??
