PLEASE HELP!!! FIRST gear chugging, cant drive past 1500rpms other gears fine!
Ive had the car for 3 weeks all was well until yesterday, started up and drove off and I couldnt drive past 1st gear, major chugging and hesitation, afr blows past 17.6 super lean. Weird thing is I shift into second immediately and all is well, 2-5 gear drives just fine, afrs at idle are steady at 13.5-14.0 wot afrs are at 11.3 crusing afrs are at 14.3-7. No clue on what is going on!?
Theres no maf sensor cause I have speed density, tuning with nismotronics, motor sr20det. Live in wisconsin temp around 50. The guy in got it from said the car never saw cold weather. Any ideas or suggestions Would be appreciated |

Is this issue repeatable? Does it happen every time the engine is started? Does it happen every time you downshift into 1st gear?

This is the first time that this has happend. Since ive had it its struggled during cold start ups but drove fine when warmed up. The only time it does it is when im in first and I try and drive off. It immediately leans out and chuggs not letting me pass 1500 rpms. When I shift into second and pass 2k it drives normal along with thr remainder of the gears. I can also down shift into 1st and it doesnt do it...
It did it all of last evening till I parked it in my garage even when it was warm, I also tried disconnecting the battery and cleaning the iat sensor and it still did it |

Have you checked for DTCs? It might be a TPS issue.

Under the Tools menu, click "Check Codes" with ignition switch ON, engine not running. You can also watch "TPS Voltage" on the data screen while opening and closing the throttle to see if the TPS voltage is operating smoothly with throttle movement.

Could have something to do with where your speed density is. Maybe first gear isn't pushing enough for it to pick up the air movement. Seems strange that it's only doing it in take offs not hearing down. Also what's your afr at a stand still? Maybe you're pushing way too much gas..

Hmm sounds like a vac leak. But it doesn't continue. Is your Ecu controlling fuel/spark cut of any kind ? Seems like something is falling off before the Ecu can pick up the change. But I'm not standing there to test it. Wanna go for another drive see what happens and get back to us here? If it's only happening in coldish weather maybe up your fuel pressure. Our cars are supposed to run a little rich at idle remember.
