wide body s14 , i hate cars

So i cut my quarter panels, im thinking im gonna do a mini tub as i didnt like the way it would have coe out if i had welded the inner fender back to the quarter.

I still have to straighten the cut a bit as it was getting late and i was running out of light.

What do you guys think is the best option?

Tub, just take a flat sheet of steel and roll it to the contour of the inner wheelhouse, weld a bead and you're done.

On another note, Kouki front? Why? You ruined it, I always liked your car.

Take it from a body guy and a man who molded his quarters on. DON'T MOLD THEM!!! Just rivet them on. Seal up the metal really good then paint the quarter, then paint the over fender. Then rivet on the over fender. My reasoning is that: You will then have good corrosion protection underneath the new quarter and water will drain through the over fender rather than pooling in between the old and new quarter.

I second the why kouki question, but either way it's gonna look sick. What fenders front and rear did you use and are you happy with the fitment?

You could use trailer fenders for the tubs. I think I saw that on Muscle Car on SpikeTv.

I think what im gonna do is glue them on then remove the rivets and fill up the holes so the panel is smooth but bonded on. I dont really want to mold them.

As for why i went kouki, i really liked the whey it flowed as a zenki, i just really hate the foggy look of the zenki headlights , even the german ones. I wanted to update the look of the car a bit so thats why.

If you're planning on competition or tracking the car hard... just rivit the overfenders on. Molding them on is only for show cars and ballers with cash to burn. (Alot of extra work)
