Are these 5 bolt lugs on the s14, or 4? What options were available? Any way to tell what a car was equipped with originally if I have the vin #?

LE? You mean SE? SE had 5 lugs on S14s. Call your local Nissan dealer, they might be able to help you out.

some SE models had 5 bolts. some had 4 bolts. all LE and base models had 4 bolts. all models had the same options available. i think. SE had a beefier suspension though. if you call a dealership, they'll tell you what it had on it when new if you have the vin

Sorry guys, I didn't know that "LE" was the base model. I should seriously study up a little more on later years .

Thanks!

Look for the so-cal 240sx club website, there's a full vin chart there, tells exactley what does who from your vin info

first of all the S14 SE's have 5 lug hubs and the LE is a Limited Edition with every single available option that comes on the SE, NOT a base model.

yea, it goes Base model, SE model, and LE model. LE has the same options as the SE and more, like leather and ABS and LSD, etc.

ok, guys. NOT EVERY SE HAS 5 BOLTS. Mine does not. Probably about half don't. The LE also comes in 5 bolt, on some occasions. I saw one just yesterday. Basically, the only difference is the suspension. Same options on the LE and SE.

If bfrance is talking about an LE, then he/she mentions a S-14a... All S-14 SE & LE came with the 16x6.5" JJ wheels standard, therefore, 5 lug 114.3mm pattern. In these years, the only 4 lug was the base model, which means 15" wheels with hubcaps or optional alloys (still 15" and 4 lug), No standard rear wing, no side sill extentions (ground effects) and no white face gauges.

Aren't you the one @ Freshalloy that I ran the CarFax report for?
When I went to buy mine, same thing happened, it came up as an LE but it was actually an SE (I wanted leather dammit!)...
It's because the VIN # only differenciates between base and LE & SE, my insurance policy reads
"1998 Nissan 240SX SELE... funny, huh?
Any which way, congrats dude!
