Tachometer not working 62 ECU
My #62 ECU is not sending a tach signal from the yellow/red wire. I used a friends ecu and it works. So i have an issue with my ECU. Is there another wire i can use? I have read to use the CAS signal and not to use it.

multimeter/continuity tester, open the ecu and find pin 3 for the tachometer signal output.yel/red wire. probe the pin, and follow the trace, you are looking for a break in continuity. if you don't find one, replace the ecu or get a conzult program and verify the tach signal is working from the ecu. report back

this is the reply i got from RS Enthalpy since i needed a retune anyway..
"A dead tach driver in the ecu is not repairable. It is run by a part of the ecu that can not be removed and fixed unfortunately. Switching ecus would probably be the best thing you could do right now if you would like it to work" |
