how's speedtrials like?

hello guys! i was browsing speedtrials' webpage for the first time and saw there is one comming up early jan. i was just wondering from your experience how speedtrial is like? i saw on the website that you run in groups. do you guys get good amount of track time? is tech hard to pass? thanks in advance!

they are a great group to run with..Tommy is a cool guy..

track time is good when compared to other NON-PRIVATE events..

tech is strict..but if your car is in good shape then it should have no problems...for that matter if you couldn't pass tech i don't see why you would want to run it anyway...doesn't seem safe to me..tech is there for a reason..not a formality..

I'd say it's a good amount of track time. Something like 5 sessions of 20 minute runs. $120 is pretty good when you compare it with other organizations' events. If your car's running fine you'll most likely pass tech. Give it a try. No race experience necessary and it's a lot of fun.

speedtrial is pretty good with track events... tommy is pretty cool guy. tech is ok, just the basic and it's for your own good.

thanks for the info guys! my car's alright i guess. i pass tech of drift days, scca, and mtss. it just leaks little oil cuz my engine is about 185k now. that my project for this xmas break: cam seal, valvle cover seal, rear main seal. hopefully i could do this in time if i wanna consider speedtrials early jan 04.
