ok well i just put a new clutch in my buddies car its not smoking anymore and is doing ok besides the slave cylinder this is the 4th one we put on and it just blew out tonight the pedal went to the floor and fluid shot out of it and filled up the rubber boot does anyone know what this could be???? he has been babying it to break in the clutch. hes tired of put new slaves on it and idk what it could be the clutch dampener box is removed could use some help please and thanks.

is the peddle hard to push?
are the slaves your buying shitty?
are you installing them right?
is your clutch properly bled?
post pictures or something
very few things can go wrong in your clutch system...

sounds like there is still air in the system, its getting hot and popping the seals when the trapped air finally wants out.

my guess as to the problem:
when u are bleeding the clutch, the first few times you have to MANUALLY push the clutch fork all the way back in under the car (to get the slave pin completely back inside the slave) with bleeder valve open (this can be a bit difficult). close bleeder valve while keeping the fork held in above position, build the pressure back up, and repeat. if you are not doing this the air is trapped in the slave, but it seems like its bled.
the other thing it could be is air getting into the system thru a loose connection or a leaking master cylinder. if the master cylinder is leaking, you'll most likely see fluid INSIDE the car on the firewall where the master connects to the pedal.

edit: also how is the clutch engagement point? the clutch pedal itself may need adjustment if the clutch isnt fully disengaging. this could also cause the fluid to overheat even if it is properly bled. easiesty way to check this is to jack up the diff to get the rear wheels of the ground and start the car in neutral. if the wheels turn the clutch is not fully disengaging

Most likey be the pivot bolt on the yolk. they break causing the slave cylinder rod to fully extend and you get no pedal, happen to mine, just change the bolt and your good, goota pull the tranny though :{

its my buddies car and we just put a clutch in it. the pedal is engaging up at the top. the master cylinder is brandnew. and if i go buy another slave to put on it alls i have to do is pour fluid into the slave and then bolt up and hook the hardline up and bleed right??? im just tryin to make sure it isnt a error im doing. i appreciate the help guys
