IIRC the spl arm isn't as "bent" as others on the market.

^. If your ruca looks similar to this when it's on the ground, you're going to need to replace your RUCA with one that is angled.

Straight joint:

Angled/bent joint:

Try selling your current one if you can't return them and go with PBM rucas. https://store.partsshopmax.com/shop/...ct-description

Are there any other QUALITY arms out there with high clearance? I see SPL's RUCA is flat; Voodoo13 has some amount on theirs but doesn't say how much.

If I get drop knuckles will it eliminate the need for bent arms? Is having both "better"? I just have a low street car, no need for crazy angle or drift settings, I just want to be low and have suspension that works properly.

Yes even with drop knuckles u will still have this problem. The only thing that I have found to work is filp them from left to right and up side down. This is with any bent style arm. If u have sub frame risers they will make the arm contact even more, making u have to notch the frame pinch weld. It's just the way of the lo life

i mean, it'll help... depends on how low the car is, but at that point it's cheaper to just get bent arms...

HUH? pbm is 25mm drop knuckle meaning at the same ride heigh, the outer mounting point of the arm is 25mm lower = more clearance. my ruca's used to hit when i had stock knuckles, but not anymore with drop knuckles. granted, my car barely tucked when i first did it. i'm sure if you're tucking like an inch you're gonna be fucked regardless.

They move the hub Assembly. I had the exact same clearance with the pbm and the gk rear drop knouckles as the did with the stock knouckles.

yeah, the hub assembly moves up, then you raise your coils an inch to put your car back at the same height... meaning the arms move down, become flatter, and should create more clearance. if that’s not what you experienced, i don’t know what to tell you...

I was under the car the other day. I flipped them for more axle clearance the arm kept making contact with the axle and tearing the boot.

You don't need to flip rucas to get clearance. If they don't work for your preference, return them and go with a different brand.

I'm running pbm's old rucas (orange and when they were made inhouse) and I don't have any issues. In addition, I am running front shocks as rears and still have clearance.

The only other brand that has a gnarly bent/angle is 326power's shakotan ruca.

I will guess this comment is because they don't have a camber curve.
Which sucks for great wheel fitment & functional driving.

Great for muscle cars though .. Lol

Begging is always an accepted currency for information in my book.
And ive already shared them search ; )

But since im already here....
I had a fully adjustable rear end. I can list the build but its so much typing.
Anyways i was installing everything and they just wouldnt line up.
I also had to knotch them to even mount the hubs onto the knuckle.
All in all its a great example of really great idea poor execution.
Now i know they went through revisions and im not sure if they made new ones since i had my pair but the ones i had sucked. Big money for something that didnt even work. If i had to do it again i wouldve just went pbm through and through. Pbm is awesome stuff. And i know for a fact it was the knuckles fault because as soon as i put the stock ones on everything lined up perfectly.
Or you can do the spl monoball knuckle upgrade. Monoball for the win.
If anyone has any specific questions or anything on my setup i had feel free to pm. Not trying to clutter this thread

Hopefully going to be getting smaller tires up front soon, 215/35 should do the trick to tuck my 18s along with extended LCA. Then just need to drop the rear a bit more and take out the quarter panel dent from rolling the fenders. I need to figure out a new exhaust because the local "exhaust shop" keeps welding bushings to my subframe to tuck it and they keep breaking.... Just broke it for the 3rd time the other day and its not from scraping. Got my car tuned and made a nice 467whp and within 10 pulls on the way home the exhaust is already rattling.

Alright apparently this thread needs to renamed to “Almost Tucked Rim Thread.” I just don’t get what is so hard to understand...

If only this forum earned a dollar for every “but I’m almost tucking” post...
