ok so ive been having my s14 for a few weeks now and so far im loving it but coming from the honda scene i know very little about nissans (learning quickly though)..

ok now on to the question

my rear subframe bushings are gone it clunks on hard breaking etc etc..does the rear subframe moving puts undesired pressure on any other compnents? ie tranny,driveshaft etc ive lookied around in the forums but found no straight answer to my question

if subframe bushings are shot, yes it would cause clunking. you can either replace them or go aftermarket (which most of us would). solid risers from PBM, Energy, orSPL are the common replacements

Above are the legit answers, but that means you'd have to drop the subframe and get the old bushings out, then press the new ones in.

Cheap band-aid fix are aluminum subframe spacers...

^you can do spacers for bushings that are "gone?" I was under the impression they were for bushings in decent shape to stiffen them up. Personally I'd drop the subframe and replace them. It's not that big of a deal.

Edit: guess you did say band-aid fix. My bad flip.

To answer your real question, no, the worn out subframe bushings wont pose a real problem for the rest of the operating systems of the car. Follow the advice that has been given about fixing the issue.

thanks for everyone's advice i just ordered some energy subframe bushings from ebay and i looked up for a write up on how to change them looks pretty straight forward and sory for my late reply ive been stuck doing a school project all day
