That motor is garbage.
I wouldn't even consider swapping one into a Supra if I had one. My friend has had 3 7MGTE motors in his MKIII and now has stopped driving it or trying to repair it because he is sick of that piece of shit motor. It's ugly, sucks to work on, heavy and unreliable. Good enough reasons not to keep it.

I say go for it man!!!! The 7MGTE sound fucking gnarly and as far as Im concerned all these dumbasses that are saying "keep a bunch of headgaskets on the side" obviously are just listening to other dumbasses. It has been proven that if you go by Toyotas suggested torque specs you are going to blow a H.G. If you over-torque them you are GOLDEN!!! Toyota NEVER admitted to this as to avoid a recall! Rant over

my bad... i think it was interesting and the fact that im doing the same swap cause i was in the middle of building a 7m for my MKIII supra when super storm sandy killed my car. then i picked up a 95 240sx se for cheap and i figued why waist the 2k i spent in parts building this 7m when i deff know i can put this thing in my 240. i know its not a popular engine but i know this this motor inside and out and if you build it right it'll give y ou 450 whp all day long and have more tq than you need. i'll start a build thread when im done with the thing but dont hate on the 7m its a good engine as long as you take care of it i'll take care of you.

7M? Wasn't that a ship that sank and was never recovered?
Or was it the 7M that was a city buried under a volcanic ash... either way, its toast. Anybody got any jam? |
