Probably priced like that because they are D.O.T. Approved HID Driving lights and not just HID fog lights (I'm guessing). IDK You could buy the covers and just throw a pair of these in there or something like them.
http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=95058 Personally I'd throw $1200 at some coils, JDM madd-tyte wheels, pistons and rods, turbo upgrade..... I digress.

like most people said, if your car can pull it off it's all good. just don't get these lights and add it to a stock body 240sx. then it would really be a waste of money, knowing that the $$$ could've went to something else.

No, people who worry so much about what others think ruin the tuning scene.
Do what YOU want man, if you need other people to convince you how cool they are then you dont want them that bad and you are DEFINITELY not pushing out 1200 bucks for em.

For like $600 you could retrofit some -real- HID projectors in a badass custom housing.
Then take the $600 you saved, get it all in dollar bills, and go show off your new headlights at the strip club. You might actually be able to see at night too!

i love them
go with the supermade kit, or the race on knock off's i was planning on going with the race on knock off's but changed my mind and planned on fabbing one out myself go ahead, be a hater cause my shit is gonna be a "knock off" and not the "real deal". at least i can say i have the skills to fab one myself, which are skills YOU probably wont have, since you'd rather spend money rather than to TRY and make one yourself. (this goes to people who whine about knock off's being wrong... knock offs are wrong most of the time, but at certain points, they're not) |

at certain points, knock offs are alright. like for example, these headlights. you can fab one yourself instead of buying the real ones. so you can actually LEARN how to do something, and maybe APPRECIATE the part a little more, knowing you fabbed it yourself. its wrong when you go and buy other peoples (mass produced) knock off's. |

For $1200 you could make better ones yourself.
Someone was selling a set on here a few months and I thought they look like shit.

I have this setup for 2 years now...
Raceon replica with $50 Hella driving lights, bright as hell. Only issues I got is a small crack on one of the lens. Other than that no issues whatsoever.
