I enjoyed part 3. not too much action. good balance. good use of humor. good stroy line with interesting twists. It's typical summer blockbuster fare. As for the recycled scenes, much ado about nothing. it was 3 seconds of film. much more distracting is that Michael Bay always seems to do a highway fight scene of some sort. Compare The Island to Bad Boys II, they have nearly identical highway chase scenes, with the pursuers dodging large objects falling off of a semi. In Bad Boys II, the bad guys are releasing boats off a semi trailer, that Will Smith has to evade. In The Island, the bad guy is rolling railcar axles off of a flatbed, which the pursuers have to evade. same schtick.
I can see where Eric Castro doesn't like it. If a director can re-use a shot instead of shooting it fresh, that's less work for guys like him. But I don't think that those 3 seconds of film that were refurbished with different special effects negatively impacted the enjoyment of the film in any way.

I saw this movie over the weekend. During the rehash scene on the highway that you guys are all talking about, the video blacked out and only played audio for a good 5 minutes. After much complaining from the audience, they finally fixed it and we had to re-watch it again a second time. So because of this, IMAX 3D FTL.

Saw it in 3d Imax last thursday. Shit was off the chain son.
Went out to eat with the lady before hand and got bombed. Then we stopped and picked up a bunch of small bottles of vodka to sneak in with us. lol. Only complaint is that I had to piss about 3/4 of the way through the movie. And I dont remember alot towards the end. But Ill see it again Sat.

^ lol. I watched it couple days ago and I must say, it was pretty fun. I felt assed out by the end of the movie though. So much explosions and adrenaline going in the beginning that when I got to about half the movie.. I was tired as hell hahaha

I was just running through the thread, seeing all the comments about how hot the new chick is. Never heard of her, so I checked out a pic from earlier....

And damn. I can see why zilvia likes her. Her face is like an S13. One side higher than the other. Why is her face so lopsided!? Do not want. Still hotter than Megan Fox, but that ain't hard. Last edited by Prime; 07-16-2011 at 02:55 AM.. |

Saw it in IMAX 3d, first IMAX movie period. It was pretty entertaining loads better than 2. For the ending, (no worries no spoilers for the few of you who haven't seen it) Bay allowed himself some flexibility. If no more were made a lot of people would accept that due to the final fight scene.
If the studio, Bay and actors felt they wanted/could do another due to the fact that a large # of deceptions now preside on earth they could make one.

The newest Transformers movie was great. I'd almost call it a 2hr45min nerdgasm. Far better than the second one. The plot was actually pretty decent in this one, and Optimus definitely kicks ALOT of ass. Patrick Dempsey was a welcome surprise, and did a great job in his role. Also, shout out to Leonard Nimoy, great job as well.
A couple concerns I had: 1. I wish the Datsun 510 was a TF 2. The new chick is hot, but her lips bother me 3. They need to stop using Linkin Park songs at the end of the movie, it totally ruins the nerdgasm. Use Pendulum, or if you must use butt rock, at least use something heavier and less whiny. 4. My car did not transform when I went out to the parking lot. I give it 4.5 out of 5 stars!

Seeing stuff like this makes me extremely happy.
PRIMES Once I have space I'm going to get a big glass case so i can start collecting all the awesome toys I grew up with. I know I can find a bunch stashed away at my grandmas house. I'm sure most of you have already seen the new Kre-o Transformers construction sets? Starting my collection on those as well. I originally wanted the little character figurines, but you have to buy the big sets to get them. I have 2 starscream sets, one of which i opened to build the Jet mode, and I'm going to keep the other sealed.

TF4 was confirmed last week but now Michael Bay is saying the entire human cast will be replaced. Should be interesting.
Michael Bay confirms Transformers 4, replacing entire human cast Movie comes out on June 29, 2014. No script as of right now. They should just say fuck it and remake the Transformers Animated Movie in live action scene by scene. I really, really, wish they would do another high quality animated movie like the original animated movie. I mean they pump out these great straight to DVD Marvel animated movies, why not TF?

O BTW did anyone buy the TF Collectors edition? If anyone has a 3D TV, buy the 3d TF blu-ray. The 3d is on par with Avatar 3d..... Really good....

I don't mind Labeouf. He is a good fit for Sam. His down fall is letting him EVER say no. Once he gets on a no roll all hope is lost.
Having said that, Transformers is about the Transformers. They don't need a single human to tell a compelling story.

I think T4 will be in the future like yearsssss later, and the old cast are basically dead or something and would make sense to be more action in space oriented now huh?

I'm still pissed they offed Jazz in such a bitchmade way. His death hold zero significance to the story. He just rushed up and died. Worse yet is they filled the ethnic void with the borderline racist twins.
