market value for '95 SE

I have posted on here before about this. Insurance now has come up a little on the market value after me screaming at them by finally taking into account the upgrades, additional stereo equip and factory options of abs and vlsd that they left off. Right now they are putting the market value at 4645. The interior is very well kept but the paint condition got a poor rating because of the bad clear coat condition. So net payout is about 4245. Its mainly stock with just some minor mods, manual, leather, abs, vlsd and has 198,500 miles on it. I noticed that their comparable 2 car was listed at 5450 at greenfield usa wholesale dealer in hollywood, fl but they listed it 3950 on the evaluation report. I don't think the car had sold yet so not sure why the price difference. Is there a way to actually know what these cars have actually sold for and not listed at.

Most insurance companies go off your local area market value. My insurance company (State Farm) gave me 5K for my 96 SE. Due to someone selling a 95 at 5K.

Although I think they accounted for the new head gasket and Z32 brakes up front, that I told them about.

Best part is I only paid 2K for the car.

if the car is in your possession, strip the fuck out of it and take the 4245... if it's not essential for the car to roll on the trailer, take it and tell them to fuck off.

I have state farm too. Did u buy it back and if so was that what u net? How many miles did it have? I'm buying it back but I feel the mkt value shld be at least 5k but I can't really find any comparables except a couple on autotrader which one is listed at 5900 n another one at 4900 but I'm sure they r going to say they haven't sold at those prices.

I did not buy it back, Don't remember how many miles either, Didn't have the car very long. The car was considered Totaled and SF said they would'nt insure the vehicle any more unless it passes some kinda inspection (Might have been a Louisiana thing)
But would still be a salvaged title.

Didn't wanna deal with that BS. So I took the cash and found my 1998 for 5K so it all worked out great for me lol

Not sure if AT is a useable source. the one they went off of in my immediate area I think they saw it on Craig's List

But this is what 5K bought me lol

Best thing was it had Stance Coil overs on it.

Produce receipts for the aftermarket parts you have and negotiate for more.

Already did that. I'm past that point. Am just trying to find other 95's to show them what they have sold for but I don't know how to get cars that have actually sold and not whats just listed as selling. Cause State farm had a list price of one of their comparisons 1500 lower than what I saw the car listed at.

Sorry about ur car. Oh I just realized u said SF saw a '95 that was selling and not sold for 5K so the reason for the edited message. SF told me they wouldn't accept craigslist ads and they had to be pdfs from dealers, auto trader, cars.com or carguru.com. SF had listed on the evaluation report a car at Greenfield USA auto sales in hollywood, fl at 3950 which was actually listed on the dealers website for 4950 on that given date but now the car is listed at 5450 on the same dealer website. When I told SF about it they said something like well thats not what the car sold for but I don't think the car actually had sold yet so I don't know why their list price on the eval report was that low.

maybe its different for each state or office? It was like 6 years ago but I think that's what they were telling me that it was based off the local area prices.

4.2K is not all bad. Depending on the buy back, buy it back and part it out if it will get you more so you can get more money.
