s15 F.N.G. I need help!! Missing KA

Hello all, I'm a brand new owner of a 95 240sx. I was driving it home from Columbus, where I bought it... half way home @ 80 miles an hour it started bucking and basically died on me. After slowing down to 50 or so it came back to life. Since then it has bucked a few times and acted similarly. Any ideas? This is my first sweet Nissan and I'm not familiar at all with the vehicle.

Thanks for any help.

Sweet nissan lol.

Unless you know it was done recently, replace the plugs, wires, cap and rotor.

probably needs to be done anyway.

yep, do a tune up on it..

to add more to the previous posters post. I'd change out the fluids ( engine, trans, diff ), the air filter, and the fuel filter.

offtopic but make sure the previous owner used automatic trans fluid in the power steering system.. if not drain all you can out and replace with ATF.

s14 Follow up on the problem.

Hey.. thanks for the replies.

I drove it to work today... had to show it off. Well, of course I drove it like I stole it on the way there and back. She did it to me again a few times, but not too bad. Still, it's enough to worry me.

I stopped by the local Auto Zone to have the codes checked. (btw, there is no check engine light at all... ever) The codes it threw were for the Mass Air Flow Sensor, and a knock sensor.

I ordered new plug wires (75 bucks) and new iridium plugs today... but a MAF sensor is 299.00, I'm not so sure I want to guess at that one. It's an expensive part to hang on there just in case.

Has anyone had this problem?

Thanks,

Jimmy J
