Question about s14 conversion

I was just wondering if it was possible to do a REAR conversion on a s14, i know its near impossible to own an S15 and having the rear for a s14 with the front of a s15 just isnt my style, so i was wondering if i could convert both front and rear to an S15 kit, not concerned about the cost, or time, just wanna know if its possible or not. thanks I'm just asking cause a guy i work with is selling his s14 and if its possible than i will buy it off of him ASAP

Sure. With money you can turn a lawn mower into a lambo.

It's a REALLY REALLY bad idea lol. I seen an ad on Craigslist of this S14 converted front/rear into an S15 and it looked really horrible with the roundish shape of the s14 quarter panels lol. When I find these pictures I will post and you WILL change your mind on it lol

I would budget a minimum of $25-30k if you want the end results to look good.
In fact, the ONLY time I've ever seen it work well was when the dude had carbon panels custom made for it.

Otherwise it ends up looking like all the hot import nights cars in the early 00's.
Eclipse with mk4 supra tails and s15 headlights. Del sol with s2k tails. Eg civic with r34 headlights.

Even when the body work quality is there 99% of the time it looks like an abortion.

The Bespoke Touch: Brill Steel Carbon S14 | Speedhunters

I would say that this is the ONLY good example of this conversion being done right.
Iirc there was one other person who basically cut up an s15 so he jar the entire rear section to mount on to an s14 but I don't think it ever got finished.

^^^He did say money is no issue. You can make a damn S14 transform into a damn Mack Truck if you want to with enough money.

I have seen someone (local) buy a real S15, and install the American 240sx firewall / windshield / dashboard.

that way you have a '240', left hand drive, but all the S15 goodies. With no body work, sounds good to me.

Agreed, seems like a lot of work for nothing.

Well I wouldn't, its not mine. But you cannot "sneak in JDM chassis" as easy as you think, I've been witness to several seizures in the last few years around here. They are starting to inform the local police about these RHD cars and they are calling DHS when you get stopped.

So this is a great way around that issue, you would have a LHD S14 with all the body of an S15. And no body work.
