I had 225/40/18 on 18x10.5 " rim....
That was so scretched , probably as much as you can go as the car sat so so low with the amount of scretch. Also it is poinless and you get shit all traction. My favourite is a 235/40 on 10.5" rim. |

So this week I'll be stretching my first pair of tires. 215/35 on a 9.5". No one around here really has any experience with it (The Midwest is always behind.). Any tips or anything I should look out for? I'll post them when I'm done, I'm excited, haha.

Don't fuck it up
just keep an eye on the beads so they don't get torn up, make sure you use lots of lube, but not too much....you loose all the feeling if you use too much

If you need to know how to,
then your doing it to be a band wagon jumper. you dont even know why there "is" tire strech, and why chassis need to run it etc.

Maybe you should reprocess your thought. Wider wheel could mean more traction, sure. But iirc, stretched tires allow cleaner/easier breakaway when sliding and less tire roll. Correct me if I am wrong.

Im doing this for the first time, because its only till NOW that I want this look. So I am hopping on the band wagon, ..I guess. I'm looking to run minimum clearence between my rim and fender, so stretching is a MUST. |
