reusing a pressure plate

so i got a used stock sr flywheeloff ebay. It lokks as if its in good shape.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWN%3AIT
He offered me a clutch and pressure plate for a few extra bux. So i said it cant hurt and i took them. I got the stuff today and I was told the the clutch disk doesnt have too much life left. I cant really tell these things. Now, my question is how can I tell if the pressure plate is still fine? Only reason why I care is cause the Pressure plate happens to be a ACT and the clutch was an exedy. I would like to be able to use this if i can. What do I do? Do i just buy like a new Maxima disk and put it with the pressure plate? or do i just wait and try and get something totally new.

Actually if they driven plate is not worn done completely than changing it out to a new is fine. The time when you change a pressure plate is when the driven disc is worn down to its rivets or the in the case of a 3 puck or 6 puck the pucks are worn down to the sheet metal.
The reason most people suggest replacing everything is with clutch most people drive them to the point of what I outlined above. At that point you must replace everything, but contrary to what infinitisound said its not nesscary if the driven disc is worn down but not to the point of causing damage to the surface of the pressure plate.

If it was stock I would say get a new one cause the springs are shot. But, the ACT should have upgraded springs so it should be safe as long as the surface is fine and reconditioned.
