Wheel Fitment?

Does anyone know if a 16x8 +10 with 245/50/16 tires will rub on an S13? If not, about how much safety margin is there? Thanks guys!

s13

Search for the stretch and largest tire threads. they may give you a look at what it will look like and if they needed fender rolling or pulling.

Thank you for your opinion on how they look...

My whole point for posting this thread was to obtain some information to read and thus educate myself.

I ended up testing fitting them on someone else's 240sx.

At a 1.5" drop they will rub the stock lower valance. With an air dam this is possibly/probably not an issue. At stock ride height I suspect minimal if any interference.

I believe 225/50/16 to be a better tire size than 245/50/16 for these wheels on this car alas... that is not what is on the wheels...

S13
Roll and Pull with a baseball bat
18x9 +15mm front 225/40
18x10 +20mm rear 245/40
Car is fairly slammed on coilovers with no rubbing.

You can find A LOT of information in the Wheel Fitment Whore Thread in Chat.

take this as a rule of thumb.

for a stock body s13, get as close as you can to 17x9 +15 225/40/17.

this is an ideal size if you don't want to pull fenders.

figure out what that translates into 16's in your case.

I agree with Bushido but i say more along the lines of 17x9 0 offset.
17x9 +15 is a bit sunk with the usual camber that comes from a good slam.

Also, i dont know why some people are so scared to roll or pull.
Once you do it youll see just how silly people sound when their stressing about it.

ANd for the record.
Heres my old 15x8 -10 on just a roll.

With a 195/50.

So a 215/225 with a 15 mm less offset will be fucking cake with just a roll.

The issue was not with the fenders... the issue was with the stock front lower valance. Thanks for the help though guys!

Okay, ideally the what your shooting for is the stock 205/55 16 diameter wise. 245/50 16 is oversized compared to that diameter, you'll need to get smaller tires if your having issues at full lock. If money to buy tires is an issue and youre just having slight issues with it rubbing on the valence, maybe you can adjust the caster/alignment of the wheel to move it away from the valence...
