I had to buy a 24mm (iirc) pipe wrench. Then I put a torch to it and bent it to get it to work. Let the penetrating oil soak for a while!

Good luck.

Lets see first off you fail for running an egr just block it off. Cut the tube and take the whole header off (its much easier) Then put a socket on their and zip it off with an impact. Ive had to do this many of times. If you still want to run an egr ill sell you a new tube+valve for $5.00 plus shipping just to help you out.

If he can't get it off, how do you expect him to put it back on?

pipe wrench worked for me...you wont ever be able to put a box wrench on it again, but still, it grips on there like a mofo. if need be bust out the bfh and put thunder down on that wrench to get it going

Extended wrenches FTW! If you can't get it off, go lift some weights. I used to soak a small rag wtih WD40/PB and sit on there, then attack it.

If you wanna plug it, you should use a nickel. Fits perfectly and securely.

I just used the open plug that came off of the manifold and put it back on with a nickel underneath it. Never leaked lol.
