You should take your wastegate signal off the compressor housing, or one of the charge pipes.

None of the nipples on the S13 SR throttle body are really appropriate for that. In stock form, the wastegate signal comes off the cold pipe.

It sounds like your MBC is doing nothing.
If you remove the MBC and the issue still persists, check your wastegate isn't getting stuck closed.

Also, you're lucky to have the engine survive one pull like that...let alone what sounds like multiple. People probably wouldn't be a dick if you weren't being a potato
