nope, no to heater hose. It will crack when exposed to oil.

i had this same problem a while ago when i had to repair my oil drain line from the turbo.

I ended up using a short piece of hydraulic hose (try to find the thinnest stuff you can find if you need it to make a bend). Also, if you need it to make a bend you're more than likely going to need one of those spring looking things that wraps around the hose to prevent it from kinking

oh yea, there's always stainless braided stuff. What do you need it for? that would help me help u

Well my drain flange gasket was leaking and I replaced it. I have a braided line clamped on their but put it on with the motor out so it was on extremely tight and could barely get it off, theres no way its going back cause ive tried. I need something asap. Is there anything at napa, autozone? Where could I get hydrolic hose?

Could I use this?

Why not order a normal oil return line kit? Its not expensive and you will have what you need in it.

I suppose it's a greater victory to know that you made a 5 dollar wal-mart garden hose work when it shouldn't have...

go to napa and get transmission cooler line, oil wont hurt it, and it is almost as flexable as heater hose

yes, depending on the size of the line power steering/transmission line will work fine.

In my case, i needed 3/4" hose which i couldn't find in P.S. hose so i had to get creative. Just go to an auto parts store that has good employees. Most of the time the kid working behind the counter is a fucking moron and can't help you unless you have a part number. So you gotta find an O.G. guy who will actually help you come up with a solution
