You won't find much in the way of "body kits" for 240's that aren't from Japan...at least for the 240

just remember, with a urethane kit, you might want to find some kind of expandable filler foam, or it will distort over time. Quality FRP won't seriously warp over time, is light, and can be fairly strong.

If you're concerned about crashing and cracking FRP aero parts... Urethane will crack and tear just the same...it is also heavier. You might be able to get away with it caving in in a small fender bender where you can just heat it and push it out...but most of the time...it'll tear and crack.

From I've heard (im no body expert) Urethane is a little trickier to patch up than FRP.

Quality japanese FRP (ie: Vertex) has great fitment and doesnt need to be modified, unlike some of the crap from knockoffs like gtp/importfan and raceon that need so much modification, that getting it to fit can cost more than buying authentic.

why do they bother making urethane if it has no positive aspects over fiberglass and FRP?

because urethane will not crack if you hit a curb. my bros old wings west urethane lip took a beating and still hasnt cracked. the only thing htat craked was the paint. there are advantages to urethane, obviously you dont know any of it thats why your asking about it. poeple say urethane weights more than fiberglass, but they usually make it sound like its 50lbs heavier

INGs uses a hybrid frp which like cwest is very flexible. they use to havea picture of their bumper twisted. and thats good enough to be up there with urethane.

the original poster doesnt want fiberglass, but pfrp is the best he can get besides urethane

oh yea URAS also has a very flexible kit. their G and V systems

try doing that with your fiberglass bumper. to me thats good enough for me. INGs kit is the same as that

its true urethane is more durable... yes its just as easy to fix a urethane bumper or a fiberglass one...i think its all the same. time consuming, messy, and labor.... u know theres stuff out there that u guys dont know about or cant get cause its for industrial use....but then again urethane is heavy but not that heavy.. blah blah .. personal preference ...get what u like...

It's fiberglass with a flexible resin. I have an Ings kit sittin pretty at my parents house right now, no way this is urethane based. It's light as hell. It might not crack like regular FRP in a low speed impact but it will still tear.
