Max power output of a gtx2554? (T25)
I found this t25 on ebay thats been rebuilt and fitted with gtx wheels on it and im wondering what the max power output would be on it?
It's from JDS turbos and they say around 300 but anyone wanna take a look and see what they think? http://m.ebay.com/itm/JDS-2554-T25-B...234?nav=SEARCH |

Seems like they're setting noobs up for failure, 100 balancing, and the right to deny warranty. To protect yourself you have to get the balancing, and with that 100 more you could get a gt28r.
Idk, just bored:screwy: Sent from my Highly Tuned Note 4.5!!!

Here's a slightly better price on the S15 turbo:

I have a GT2871R and if I were to do it again, I would have bought a GT2860R or GT2560R (S15).
I would always read about how the 2871 is a 400whp turbo, and it is. That's why I chose it. I learned however, that you need to spend a lot more money than just the turbo to get there. I made 320whp and am happy with that. I figure it will cost another $3k to make the push for 400whp. There's just no need. With a smaller 2860 or 2560, I would have made the same power with better response. Just food for thought. |

Was that sr or ka? Cause im putting it on a ka. I think I wanna do a gt2560r I only plan to make 300-320. On my old sr I had a gt2871r and it was alright but im told it spools a lot sooner on a ka. |

I don't know, but this thread reminded me of the good deals on that turbo I've seen on here in the past. Call or email them to see if they have stock before ordering online.
I have the 2871 on an SR. It would spool sooner on a 2.4L, but if a 2560 or 2860 is capable of enough airflow for 300 hp on a 2.4L, then those are still the better choice. |

What do you mean? The link I posted? I assume they're new.

I should mention, my car is track only and therefore spends most of it's time at full throttle in sometimes very hot ambient conditions ie. during the summer. Also, the engine still has stock pistons and head gasket, Knowing this, my tuner suggested that we not use more than 15 psi to maximize reliability. I'm happy that we did as the engine has held up very well over the last few years doing countless events, even if it meant sacrificing peak HP. |

If you're trying to hit 300whp than the 2871r is too laggy. Go with the smaller turbos. |

I was on a DynoDynamics. You can really only compare numbers from the EXACT same dyno, meaning at the same shop. There are so many settings that can effect the readings. Every tuner is different. You could even have the same tuner, on the same dyno, change his settings from one run to another. So numbers from one shop using a certain dyno could be different than another shop using the same one. This goes for all dynos: Mustang, DynoJet, DynaPack, DynoDynamics etc.

I've been in Nissanparts.cc actual shop. They are located at a Nissan dealership in Washington State. That's how they get mad deals on parts. Direct connection with Nissan Japan. Lowest priced S15 turbos by far.
