Go for it, seems you have the right idea about it and who knows you might acctully attend service and like it, just stay positive about the whole thing also this could lead to something else and open up other doors in your life who knows

There is a radical difference between an agnostic and an atheist.
Agnosticism - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Atheism - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I can see you doing this as an agnostic. Agnostic theism - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I can not see an Atheist doing this. Atheism is anti-theism, totally against religion. They would catch on fast. Quote:
Anything more then a I go to "obscure religion's" services should suffice. But with a church the odds of them running into the leader of the services you claim to go to is much higher.

Actually, legally, Missouri is an At Will state. They can fire you if you don't go to church. Hell, they can fire you if they don't like the way your farts smell.

the benefit of making a good salary isnt worth the bullshit youll have to deal with
eye candy? whoever said that, fuck that. you can get eye candy anywhere, girls are everywhere. youde have to be a complete loser and perve to go to church just to check out wacked out religious chicks. if you happen to like one, and happen to get into a relationship.. youll spend the rest of your life listening to that religious nonsense.. so fuck that. matej said it best, the days you work PLUS the day you go to church, which actually takes away from your day off which is pretty important to me. why the fuck would you spend that in church? thats like when people tell me theyre rather sit in traffic than live in an expensive part of town.. the cost of living is worth it when you dont have to subject yourself to driving, its like wasting your life for no fucking reason... find a better job. tell the religious freaks to go sell crazy somewhere else, were all stocked up |

I wouldn't take the job. In the interview, or further hiring process, I'd remind them that they're hiring you for your skills and abilities, not your religious beliefs. Unless they want to pay you for the time you spend at their services, I don't see how it would be beneficial to you or them. An atheist or agnostic is not going to be magically swayed to change his/her beliefs simply by being in a religious environment, so if their ultimate goal is to convert you, it's an exercise in futility. If they're simply seeking a like-minded person to work with them, that's understandable, but it's important for them to remember that despite people having different beliefs, they can still mesh well.
If they choose not to hire you because of your beliefs, it's their loss. |
