Stolen Evo IX Central Jersey
Posted for a friend.
"Ok, my buddy's car was stolen out of the Dicks Sporting Goods parking lot in Woodbridge, NJ a few hours ago: 2006 Evo IX MR SE, tarmac black, black BBS wheels, red Brembo's, full exhaust (HKS carbon ti, muffler is wrapped in carbon fiber), no front lip, HID's with yellow fogs, 3rd brake light is out. License plate is NY EKP 9716. Any info will be greatly appreciated." - spread the word Hey everybody, if you've taken the time to read this thread you immediately have my gratitude. My evo was stolen today, not exactly the Christmas gift I was hoping for this year. Word is being spread as best as it can be. **********************CAR DETAILS: *****LICENSE PLATE: EKP 9716 (WHITE AND BLUE NY PLATES) 2006 Lancer Evolution IX MR SE Color: Tarmac Black Pearl - Stock MR BBS wheels powdercoated black, front driver side wheel has crappy finish - SE Seats(red stitching) - Carbon Fiber Arm Rest - Slotted DBA rotors - Stock Red Brembo Calipers - No front lip - Lowered on BC Racing BR Series Coilovers - Intake, header, full exhaust, kinda loud(HKS Carbon Ti Exhaust - Carbon Fiber Wrapped Muffler) - Stock HID's w/ Yellow Fog Bulbs - Stock Front Mount Intercooler - Slight dimple/dent on the right side of trunk - Gurney Flap on the Wing - NO TINTS on the windows - ZEITRONIX ZT-2 Datalogger, mounted beneath inspection sticker(looks like satellite radio) - NO GAUGES except for the STOCK MR gauges in the stock location - 3rd Brake light doesn't work - Rear USDM bumper lights don't work So as you can see, there are quite a few distinguishing characteristics about my car. The story so far: My evo was stolen today at the Woodbridge, New Jersey Mall between 5 and 6 p.m. this evening on Dec. 26, 2011. I parked my car in front of Dick's Sporting Goods a bit before 5 p.m. and proceeded to enter the mall after locking my car. When I exited the mall around 6 p.m., my car was gone. I am not from New Jersey, I live in Staten Island, NY and had traveled there to check out some of the stores I don't have back home. Full description of the car is above, pics will be posted below. I'm still trying to process what happened today, I had that car for almost 4 years. It was my 340 whp, 112 mph trap speed daily driver and had treated me so well for how much use it saw, 66,000+ miles with me behind the wheel, NYC winters and all. Please help me find it everybody I just got home after a lengthy session with the local police and my federal law enforcement connections, in addition to my other contacts. A LOT of people are looking for this car, the word is out on many other forums(iwsti, nagtroc, etc.), websites, twitter feeds, and facebook groups as of right now. I know I was followed into the mall, this guy was hanging around me for whatever reason a good portion of my time there, probably being the "spotter" for the crew outside. Unfortunately it clicked for me after it was too late. I know it's a shot in the dark given how efficient professional criminals are, but if the thing is still intact I'd like to see it again. And I want my damn sunglasses back. To everyone who made it this far, thank you so much for your time and please spread the word

Sorry to hear, hopefully you had full coverage or at least theft coverage on your car. This seems to be a horrible trend lately. A friend of mine had his 03 stolen from in front of his house in Flushing, NY over the summer, but he didnt have theft on his and found is bare shell a week later.
