Help out the new guy.
First off, sorry if this is not posted in the right place or if i missed an FAQ on this topic, but i need some help.
I have been looking around to buy my first 240sx for a while now. Id buy an s13 or 14 under $5k. That being said, i have been talking to a seller who has a clean 91 hatch with 180k. i could buy it with stock wheels, kyb struts and eibach springs for around $3k. He claims the car runs and drives like its swapped, but does not know for sure, no mechanical issues. Id appreciate any advice or opinions. Thanks. |

Can you ask your dad or uncle or someone 10 years older than you who's a relative and check the car out for you and to not ask any more questions? Otherwise, you are SOOOOOOO gonna be hatorade here. Just google search "how to buy used cars" or something.
I bought cars from various Toyotas and Nissans...pretty much the same shit in what to check out and inspect as nearly any other car (minus antiques or junks). |

Nissan KA engine - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Nissan SR engine - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia 1. Google and Zilvia's search function are your best friends. 2. Test-drive the car with someone who knows what they're talking about. 3. Go do some learnin.' |

Drives like it's swapped as in runs hot, stalls, sputters, and everything else that comes with hack job swaps that people put up for sale as soon as they realize they did it wrong?

Is it really that hard to buy a 240? I bet people who buy Kia Sorentos don't go to kiasorentoforums.com and post up "omg is dis a gud car???" threads. Its a car. Shit, it's a really simple car, especially an S13.
