First ever Tuned Infiniti q50 3.0tt silver sport
I bought my silver sport a few months back and have been patiently waiting for a way to tune this already fantastic platform... I had the car for about 3 weeks when I contacted AAM Competition in Maryland about making the first exhaust setup for both the silver and red sport. They were eager to take on the project.. 2 weeks later I was the first 3.0tt owner to have secondary cat delete (there are 4 cats) downpipes and 3" true dual cbe exhaust.. also i havr no cel... since then I have fallen in love with the car all over again... I definitely gained some power via butt dyno and just recently comfirmed on a real dyno.. so last week I get a call from A good friend of mine who Is a tuner.. he says he has cracked the ecu, and wants to tune my silver sport.. yesterday mission was accomplished. We were able get my silver sport to over red sport numbers at just 14.5 psi... the silver sport with a tune at 14.5 psi hit 388hp/380tq.. only issue is when u reach red sport number u get red sport issues... next run we turned up the psi slightly and hit 396hp and then she threw the belt.. most of u have probably heard the red sports have been throwing belts... at 5k miles my silver sport has been fine... as soon at we hit the red sport hp there went the belt... after watching the video we determined that the belt was thrown during deceleration... we are currently working out a way to prevent this from happening and once we fix the belt issue we are expecting to reach at least 400whp... I should also state this is not on plane 93... since I purchased the car I have been running a 50/50 mix of e85 and 93... which is about e40 and roughly 98 octane... the 3.0tt loves ethanol...

Sport 300TT red sport 400HP TT. I work in a BDC dept in an Infiniti in NY for some reason nissan used plastic pulleys and misalignment of the a.c. compressor from the factory is making the belt walk off the pulleys. there is a recall on the TT cars pm me and I'll give you my work number and ext I can check that recall list...You would have to put everything.back stock for the time being tho... my only gripe...
