Umm.... I just watched lotr again (well made my parents watch it. was my 4th time). So i thought i'd ask this question ...
Anyways. I'm assuming most people saw it, so question is how many of you read the book before the movie, and how many after? Just wondering I read all 4 lotr toms and silmarillion about 4 years ago. loved it. Part of that cuz i was a big fan of "Conan" (whoever heard of those books) and i had like 20 books stacked in my room. That was when i was like 12 So yeah... right now i'm looking for tolkien's "The Adventures of Tom Bombadil " and "The Road Goes Ever On" but can't find any used around my place. Hmmm.... if anyone thought this post sounded reaaaaally gay.... shhhhhhhhhh better than chatting about what music people listen to |

I havent' seen the movie or read the book, The movie looks great, and so does the new one. I hardly have time to read, besides all the bullshit books they make us read in school.

Maybe its because I have an impaired memory, but I don't remember any bullshit books from school, except the Great Gatsby. That book sucks. All the rest were pretty good, iirc.

You must not have had to read The Chosen or The Crucible. Those are the most boring books ever. Oh yeah and I didn't much like The Grapes of Wrath. I thought the Great Gatsby was good compared to those... At least compared to the Chosen and the Crucible. |

I really liked reading Orwell and Huxley at school, im suprised this governement lets us read books of that kind in school, considering that they help you to start thinking for yourself. Yeah the Crucible sucked. I was trough most of it.
