What we are hoping to do is get a mix of cars going. As a former Z32 TT owner, I am a fan of Nissans obviously (and anxiously awaiting to see the Skyline 2007 and it will be like).

We are hoping to take a nice, spirited drive, then end up at a local shop to do some dyno runs.

I'm still trying to work something out with a local tuner/shop, so more details will be posted as they become available.

Yes I believe so. The only thing up in the air right now is if the local Evo shops will show up with their cars to take the drive along with the rest of us.

But, we have the time, place, when, where, etc. all figured out. I have maps and notes ready to hand out to everyone.

-----

Here is the plan so far:

1. Meet up at Starbucks at McCarthy ranch in Milpitas. This is located on 237 and 880.
2. Drive up 237 up through Calaveras Road, through the resevoir area.
3. Meet up Vishnu Tuning afterwards for discounted XFlashes to those who are interested along with dyno runs (don't know what the discount is exactly for either one of those yet).

Time: 11am we meet, depart at 11.30, lasts till whenever we are done.

I already have a few people saying they want to participate, so the more merrier. Obviously, I would not advise bringing along a friend who drives a car that cannot handle well, since we don't necessarily want someone who will slow down the pack (if you own a Mustang or Camaro, please accept my apologies and sincerest regrets - we can't all own Evos).

If you're interested, please respond so I can add you to The List ™©.

The List ™©:
Me (JanSolo - pronounced YAWN Solo, like HanSolo, get it???)

6. Take a right onto Ranch Drive.
7. Look for McDonalds and make a left into the parking lot.
8. Starbucks will be to your right.

Sweet. I sent you a pm on GenMay, but you never responded. This is good, though. Vishnu Tuning, where we are going for the dynoday does WRX tuning, but you probably already knew that.

Yea, I got your PM on genmay, and I was going to respond, but I was at my g/f's house and she wanted attention.
I might come with a friend in a Miata if I do come though. I have to ask for the day off and I'll see how my boss takes to that idea.

How dare you ask me if I knew who Vishnu was.... Even people who dont know the difference between an WRX and an impreza know what Vishnu tuning is.

Didnt I meet you at a lan party a while back that I posted on the [H] but then I bounced out to go to back to a party?

Dyno Runs: 75$ per car for how many runs it takes to get repeatable results (with no tuning). This is usually 4-6 dyno pulls.

This is an AWD dyno - DynoDynamics specifically, I believe. People complain that it reads a bit lower than other dynos, but most believe it is the most accurate.

Not everyone who likes WRXs likes Vishnu. For my wife, we are gonna go with the Cobb stuff. They seem to be one of the better tuners for the WRX.

I went to a local lan party in Los Gatos once or twice.. not Hurriquake, some other one in that church. I didn't talk to anyone there, though.

This is not a race, so being stock is just fine. The whole purpose of this is to have some fun, learn about other cars and get dynod if you want and to meet other car enthusiasts. Yeah, it may sound lame and idealistic, but it will be fun for sure.

And little miss S13Chicken is not familiar my strong jaws..

Kewl... I'll definately come... That way I can see what my Engine does bone stock with a T25 at 6psi. That's all I wanna run to start... I kinda want to go in stages so I can document every step of my turbo KA.

Cause If I do what I did with my first KA-T I'm never gonna know what actually gave me power and what I just wasted money on.

Grip. The road is mostly one lane and pretty windy.
