power windows

Need a little help. My drivers side window has started to refuse to roll down. When I took the drivers door panel off I found a black box connected inline between the power window switch and the power window motor. Idk what this box does. If I fiddle with the wires while pushing the switch the window will work. Is this box really needed?? Can I bypass it?? Any help from any one would be greatly appreciated.

Open up the box and see if you can find some bad solders. Re-soldering usually fixes the problem. If it doesnt, time to get another box.

power windows

Thanks guys, I got it fixed. I took apart that power amp and there were some burned connections. Lucky for me my buddy is a wiring genious. Took about 20 min to solder all the connections again and then she works like new.
