Help . . z31 revving in neutral w/out pushing pedal
I was heading back home today from the store. After getting on the highway, the Z started revving on its own without me putting any pressure on the pedal.
Then when I put the clutch in or placed the car in neutral, the car would rev up to 4K, once again without me placing a foot on the pedal. Any ideas what could possibly by causing the problem. 86 Nissan 300zx T |

Check your accelerator cable on top of the throttle body. Sometimes where the cable enters the protective cover, there are bits that can break and jam.

Thanks.
There was a piece of the protective covering that had broken off and looked to be getting stuck. I removed it from the cable and am about to find out if that solves the problem. |
