Sr20det valves, upgrades worth it?
I have a s13 sr20det. I had some broken rocker arms from over rev and am rebuilding the head. I bought the BC 272 head package with springs, retainers, and valves. The valves are stainless steel I believe. I have heard mixed reviews on these valves and some say stock are better. Would you leave the stock valves, use the bc stainless, or get the super tech valves? How important are upgraded valves.

Stock valves are good because they are sodium filled which helps keeping the valves cool. All heat from the valve is transferred to the head via the guide and seat. SS is very heat tolerant and resilient. If you aren’t going full tilt with the head/build, it’s probably not worth the investment.
