sr20det alternator not charging
So I am stumped!!
Before creating this thread I have done 4 days of non stop researching. 2 days of checking every fuse and wire and I still cant figure it out. The battery light in the dash doesn't turn on when u turn the key to on. I know that battery light is what triggers the alternator to start charging. Every fuse is good. Battery is relocated to the trunk. Battery is new, Alternator is new. I cant figure out how to fix it. Can I bypass that light on the dash?? How can I figure out what to check next??? |

the light should turn off after you turn the car on. that light goes from the ignition on one end and the alternator on the other end. im stumped idk what or where to find the issue. |

7.5amp fuse feeds the cluster battery light, then goes to the alternator (white red) wire
Then a diffrent 7.5amp fuse feeds yellow wire to alternator. Both should have 12volts when running Is the bulb any good? Pull up the fsm and time for pin test |

as s14rebuild said, get the fsm and check the wiring, it sounds like the gauge fuse. another thing you could do it check the voltage on the alternator plug, this is what the battery light eventually leads to. if it’s not getting voltage, your problem is somewhere along that line. here’s the fsm https://forums.nicoclub.com/240sx-fs...e-t311075.html
