A Miata Battery fits perfect in the stock location and you get proper cranking amps rather than a lawn mower battery. Do it!! it is way better than having to deal with a battery relocation kit.

it's ok autozone carries battery shims which compensates for the smaller terminal

Your alternator is probably about to die, or something's not right with your electrical system, like something's drawing power then your car's shut off.

Mine's been fine, unless I let it sit for like 3 months at a time, then it dies, but other than that, it works flawlessly.
