anyone of you?

Careful: my english is not perfect!

my 96 s14 has 101000 mileage on both body and motor; I have many suspension parts, nice rims, and body kit parts (oem/navan stuff) ready to be installed. My original plan is finish installing those parts; put the body kits, and do the paint on her because she has pretty ugly paint.

Til yesterday i read somewhere in this forum said, it might not worth for spending 2-3 grand doing paint job on the car that the engine has such a high mileages unless you have plan to change the motor too.

This post is kind of stop me from putting those parts; I'm kind of think that should I sell the current one and find a new s14 with the good paint at the same mileage then throw those parts on a new one. Or should I stick with the original plan...

Anyone of you spend money in paint job on high mileage motor/car without any plan to drop a new motor?

Thanks

101k is nothing for a KA, I've seen them run over 200k without a rebuild, that and most people have higher mileage than that when they turbo their ka's.

in short, you'll be fine, assuming there are no problems with your engine? (my 96 hasn't even hit 90k yet and has some nasty electrical issues)

dependin on how you treat your car your motor should be able to last a good while longer. if your planning to keep ur car i would paint it otherwise there isnt use putting money into it.

my KA is currently at 160k and my friends is at 206k and still running strong *knock on wood*

if the car is clean, rust free, and body filler free keep it

you can always swap out an engine KA DOHC go for what $300-$400

anyways you shouldn't be wasting your money on body kits, when you are running what it seems to me a stock KA.

not painting the car cause the engine/car has high milage?? Is that what you mean? If so that doesnt really make sense IMO.

If the body is straight with no major dents,I dont see why buy another s14 with better paint if you were going to paint it anyways

plus 100k isnt high..Is the motor bad?If so swap it,put your parts on/paint it and call it day. post a pic of it or somethin
