this happened to me on my coupe. huge pain in the ass. i tried hitting it with a starter. i took the starter out (which is super easy) and cleaned the contact areas. i cleaned both terminals on the battery. check all my grounds and cleaned them.
after multiple times doing this i bought a used starter from someone local to me. car started right up and havent had a problem since. you can also check the voltage going into the starter which cranking the car to see if you are getting enough power. you want to check it coming off the trigger wire.

Check your clutch interlock relay ISSD if your starter is still good. I think that's what it is on an s14. It is inside the fuse box on the passenger side in the engine bay.

That switch is notorious for going out on 95 S14's causing your starting problems. ID PS: Before you replace your starter, take it to Pep Boy's, Autozone or O'Reileys and have them test it for you for free. Chances are your starter is probably still good...
