s13 on 18"s? (Attn: viceroy)
So I am browsing the wheel section again ...works...rays...jline...
and I notice that there hardly are any 17"'s available anymore. i know that 18's look good on S14's but on a S13? IDK just doesn't seem to flow well... its like a small girl with big feet. there is the argument that 18 inch performance tires are harder to come by than 17's...never had a problem getting 17's but I have yet to explore 18inch land. Car is partly show but mainly track...you know make the car look decent while out there trying to send it to an early grave. The ONLY wheels that looked good that were 18"s were Equips on a Kouki... all the coupes I have seen run 17's. I am bored and dont feel like going out and about right now... so I decided I need to start a poll

I think 18" rims look good on S13's but to make it look even better IMO you need sides, f/r bumpers then 18's start to look smaller and the car balances out more....
Here a pic of mine for reference its rollin on stock G35c 18's with 225/40/18 all around with TEIN owering springs, still need to get coilovers so I can lower it some more: |

i hate 17s, looks stupid with aero, giant tires, etc. imo. 225/35/18, 245/35/18, etc. all smaller or the same size as normal 17 tires. 245/35 front 285/30 rear (what i will be running next set of tires) is smaller than oem.
any wheel looks good with good fitment, 18 19 20, but 17s with aero, either you have to run a big sidewall tire, or the car is like touching the road, to get good fitment. |

I have a bad eye for wheel size difference between 17 and 18's and when I do see 18's they usually look like shit except for that red coupe 15's and 16's look a like to me. thx chmercer... always good info from you!

17 or 17/18 on a coupe.
17/18 on a hatch. 18in fronts generally look donk unless on BN or 326 aero. Anything is gonna look like ass if you suck at wheel fitment or are otherwise faking the funk. The classiest thing about 17in fronts, is you can cheap out and burn 17s in the back and not have your car look like asspile with 18F/17R. |

seen 17f 18r and looks a bit interesting but not something I would go for right off the bat.
in fact I think the car I like the most is on 18's debating about these two other aero body's as well...

well 18's look sick for street and cruisin and shit, from my experience i could never go as low as i wanted with 18's up front on an s13 without rubbing everywhere at full lock this is with 225/40/18's on 18x9.5 +9, at events i usually drift with 17's up front its just more practical no rubbage, on my current coupe though im doing some serious inner fender well mods to be able to run 18's the way i want! 215/40/18's on 18x10's up front here i come!!
