My Wheel Rant
FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK wheel companies for not making good rims in 4 lug. I've been looking for a 5-lug conversion for 4-5 months and i cant find anything. I've been looking for *ideal* offset and width 17's for my car in 4-lug and i cant find them. I know this subject has been beaten to death more times than Nightmare on Elm Street, but FUCK!!!!. The only wheels i can get are going to cost me 600 bucks EACH. I'm gonna end up with 15's.

yeah, 4lug wide, lowoffset wheels suck to find. I'll be getting 16x8.5 +10 wheels in 4 lug though. weight is only 16lbs too. Can't tell you where though. hehehe.

Custom steel racing wheels (circle track style) are often less than $100 a wheel. They're ugly, and not all are streetable, but they can be made to almost any bolt pattern and offset.
The Kosei K1 comes in tons of bolt patterns and offsets with "blank" bolt patterns that tirerack can have machined to your spec. Final cost is about $200 a wheel. Fact is, the wheel manufacturers don't want to sell their stuff in the "extreme"/"custom" sizes because most of their market is people who want to bolt on wheels that just fit. That's why they recommend wheels like 17x7 +35 for the S13 on their websites... if joe sixpack buys those wheels for his 240SX, they're just going to bolt on and work. The 5-lug guys get so many low-offset, large diameter, wide wheel choices because there are lots of big heavy cars with low-offset stock wheels that use the 5x4.5 bolt pattern... like Supras and Mustangs. |

Thanks i'll give them a call. Someone else recommended this to me also but i didnt find it on their website. I guess you have to call in. edit just got off the phone with tirerack. get this 15x6.5!!! wooo hooo that's the only size they got in blanks. Plus you cant even custom order any offsets, only bolt patterns. any other ideas?

we all know this already, so this post is pointless, but, cheap and "custom" sizes don't usually go hand in hand.

agreed but it could be REASONABLY priced. the cheapest so far is www.circleracing.com otherwise ppl want like 500 bucks a piece for 15x9 wheels. even the 17's are hella money from circle racing. may as well get work wheels cause they are nicer and lighter

awww... poor baby can't get any good size wheels. Keep doing your chores and saving up your allowance from mommy and daddy. Eventually your hard work at McDonalds will pay off too, so keep at it.

Why don't you get those steel wheels that those NASCARS run. You can get them in any size, offset and lug nut pattern. Just a thought.. your wheel rant is :ghey: because it's obvious that you're not searching hard enough.

I can find myself wheels for 2 g's. You aint no rocket scientist. I'm talking wheels for the SAME price as you can get in 5-lug. That's all. If i had a car that i kept on a showroom (or if i was just plain stupid) i would pay 500 bucks per rim, but they better be 19x13 or some crazy size. I've found some wheels that i may go with. They are 15x10 circle racing wheels. about 130 bucks a piece. You can get them from +25 to -75 offset. That's right -75.

ART! those 5-lug people never responded to my Pm's. They weren't motivated sellers. I've found some dude in LA that may have them on friday. I'll look around for another month. If i dont find 5-lug i'm just going to replace my wheel bearing and get those circle racing rims. The reason i didnt get the attain ones is cause then i'd have to go source the z32 rears.
