NEED help
s1 Rb25 greddy intake manifold front mount stock turbo/boost downpipe back exhaust Since I have had the car the Car idles high sometimes and just wont go under 1500 other times it idles at 800 it sometime changes from stoplight to stoplight. BUT Main problem is recently I was going on a 3 road trip and gowing down the highway I would roll into throttle and the car would just choke out on itself like it was completely flooding of fuel. So I would quick shut the key off and coast with it in gear for about 3-5 seconds and turn key back on and then SHAZAM i could roll into throttle and it rapes like normal no issues at all. BUT then 15 min later the same issue would happen. Now this consistantly happens all the time. = stuck injector? = I also have heard that the stock ecu runs very rich factory and with the intake manifold it could be overfueling from all the extra air the maf is reading?

do you have the consult plug installed ? if not, i would recommend installing it and just to be on the safe side, replace your O2 sensor, it may be bad.

what your O2 sensor is reading, it may be faulty hence cutting you out when you get on it. same thing was happening to my brothers MR2 and my RB25, swapped out the O2 for a new one and the problem went away.

I wouldn't bet on o2 sensor, but it's certainly a possibility. What fuel pump are you running, and how old is it? Ever have slow starts?

I have an 89 se 240 coupe w/rb20det w/ factory HUD and digital cluster but nothing works except for the temp. I was wondering if I need to modify anything or get a specific cluster.. I haven't been able to try another cluster because all of my friends have the regular cluster.. If anyone could help it would be appreciated.. I would like to know how fast I'm going, and how much gas I have at least haha
thanks in advance.. Roger

Yes, there are quite a few people that can help you out... since you said IE, I recommend Bardabe (a contributing member here and on Socal-drift), he's in Perris.

Has anyone done a ls coilpack wrietup for rb engines? I found a few dead links and some ppl on S AU that have done it but no writeup. What's the general opinion of this conversion? I hear its much better as far as reliability on other fourums and I wanna do this to my rb20.

seems like a good question area
i have an rb20 and for the life f me cannot get it to idle correctly, i have changed the tps with another used one, messed with cas, changed iacv, changed bov, checked for boost leaks...it will fire right up but then as it idles down it will just simply die...idk what to do... |

i think every rb20 has an idle problem. i took the hose of my iacv and just use my throttle cable to adjust the idle. i just hold the gas to warm it up. |

rb25 can take 500hp rb20 can take maybe a little less rb26 probably the same so for each between 400-500 hp. Considering that the motor has good compression and is healthy. |
