need advice on s14 kouki CF hood or stock?

Hi, i'm plan on doing a kouki conversion on my s14 zenki, and I just bought some oem fenders, now i'm looking towards getting a hood.

I was wondering if anybody suggest if i should get a carbon fiber hood or just get the oem hood?

I do care about overall performance, that's why I am thinking about the cf hood, but if it's not worth the price then should I get the oem hood?

By the way, do anybody know any good quality brands that doesnt cost too much? I am looking at the hood's on ebay and wondering if the "vis" or the "oe tuning" hood any good?

Also, is the air vent in the vis hood worth getting? I've heard that the vent is to far towards the front so it's not venting out a lot of air... Would that vent cause rain water to get into the engine? I dont want water in my plug holes and electrical harneses and etc....

Thanks for you guy's help.

All I say is don't do things twice... If you ever plan to get a CF hood later.

Get it now... No reason to do anything twice when you can do it right the first time...

ok, well do anybody know or suggest wich manufacture should i go with? right now i'm looking at the vis and oe tuning hood on ebay....should i even get a cf hood off of ebay?

i've sent messages to some of the people who bought the oe tuning hood and they are ok with the results of their hood because it's 2 lbs lighter than the vis....

anybody know anything about the vis oem cf hood and the vis hood with the air vent..?

thanks

Get a VIS OEM style hood.....but I would be careful about buying one off e-bay.

BTW....I have some flush mount hood pins for sale if you consider getting a CF hood.

I wanted a CF hood...but I've decided to save up for a 50lb metal hood.

are those flush hood pins make are hidden from view installed? correct?
how are they installed by the way?

If youre thinking about getting a cf hood ever, dont bother with the heavy-ass OEM hood. Vis makes shitty stuff, I dont know anyone whos bought an OETuning hood but they look really nice. I guess you takes your chances...

I got a VIS and i cant complain bout the fitting. Id say that this hood is the only good thing ive seen come out of VIS for a kouki. IF you want a bodykit....dont bother with VIS.

Sorry Ray maybe I should elaborate :P
Vis hoods look ok, but ive heard a lot of people having to trim them in order to fit correctly, and they arent very strong so if you have some fat hoe sit on it it will probably crack.
Their bodystuff on the other hand, just stay away all toghether...
