ok so my turbo oil feed threads in my block are stripped out and i know the only way to fix it is to drill it out and re-tap it. the problem with that is the engine is in the car and i cant pull it. the other option i have is to weld a fitting into the block.

what would be best? and as far as welding which welder should i use?

Drill and tap it on the car....small drill, short bit, low speed and put some grease on the bit to hold the metal shavings. Pull it out and clean the bit and regrease it often. Doesn't take much to just fix the threads/retap.

When i say put grease on the bit, i mean it too. A bunch. Dunk that sonovagun in the grease tub.

thank you so much ive put this block in and the guy told me he make this fitting to work and it fell out on me so this helps a lot. this is the only thing keeping me from driving

I totally agree, because eventually you will have to take it off for one reason or another and welding it in would be a bad idea

Helicoil worked for me. Do a search lots of people on here have had to use it. Best of luck.

ok so if i do helicoil what size will i drill and tap the hole? and another question i have is what fitting will i have to get for it?

so as of right now i have a -3an to 1/8in pipe connecter. that is the only fitting i have at the moment and that goes into my steal breaded line.

any and all information would be greatly appreciated. i want to do this right so i dont have anymore issues.
