White Smoke sr20det

I have an sr20det that is blowing a lot of white smoke out the exhaust after long hard drives. It smells like oil as well. My question is what can be the issue? I did a compression test on the motor last month and got 145 psi on all cylinders.

Thanks

You should verify before you just assume its the turbo or whatever. There are test you can do or pay someone to do that aren't expensive.

Here's a hypothetical, let's say its the head gasket and you just bought a turbo, well money might not be an issue for you, but its much smarter and economical to repair what's wrong, but you can always justify stupid purchases, its the American way, but that doesn't make it wise.

Anyway...I personally love when people diagnose there problem and then fix it. I guess it shows me there is still hope in America even if the problem is in another country, america gets the credit, xd
So yeah hope that's all it was. Gl

I would lean towards the turbo as well, but if it does it, it would be pretty much after every time you hit boost. It would also steadily get worse, but any problem that causes smoke could get worse as time goes on.

yeah it basically only does it when i boost, i have a metal head gasket that was installed a couple years ago so i doubt that would be an issue
