Thus that would be too streatcher for a control of the every day?

The 225/40 sounds alright, but your won't be able to slam the front of your car though. 275/35 is too big of stagger though, try 245/40(or 35) or 255/35. But, if thats what you want it should be pretty good for daily driving.

Hey guys I went the el cheapo way out and purchased some Cobra R 5x114.3 wheels

(2) 17 x 9" (2" lip)
(2) 17 x 10.5" (3" lip)

Of course i'll run w/o centercaps. Anyways, running em on an S14. I was curious if anyone could give me a good idea of size and height of tires.
I was thinking

215-40R17 in front
245-35R17 in rear

What do you guys think?

also the website i got these from don't show offsets, does anyone know how much of a wheel spacer I'll need for these things?

Thanks!

For the front, I would say you need a 15mm to clear coils and get nice fitment. Also, I would suggest 215/45 for the front. No spacer for the rear, but change the tire to 245/40. Just a thought about the rear tire, it would save you some money.

You ask him if he's sure as if you plan to hold him responsible if this stuff doesn't fit. This is a science.. a hobby even for some man. I dont know how many different tires i collected when I got my vs-kfs. You may have to try a few different types of setups. Tires are designed differently, some sidewalls dont stretch the same as others etc.

Best you can do is look at pics of other car or take the advice... It may work or it may not. I hope you get these to fit. GL

I put 215/45/17 on some 17x9 +23 2000 Cobra rims. They cleared my Stance GR+ in front by about 7mm on my S13. I like the fitment!

Get some pics. What are you building the car for? Camber settings play into flushness as well.

Did you mean 215s? Cause going from a small ass 205 to meaty 245s might cause alot of understeer.

17x9+24 will require a 4mm spacer.

I have a 17x9+30 with a 10mm spacer and I clear megans. I can actually use a 30mm spacer to be flush.

No 205's. I got the tires from an el-cheapo place, tires have 80% tread on them, they're used of course, 215s with the right tire height weren't available. I could really care less about a lot of understeer though (this is DD car plain & simple), $100 for all four tires mounted balanced including cost of labor is probably less than what I'd pay if i got one brand new tire for the 10.5" rim.. I'll get pics later gotta clean up the house some first
