What & Why: Driving by yourself is boring. Driving 500 miles plus in a straight line is boring. So lets make it fun by driving together! Yay! :P

When: Friday, February 27th, 2004
5:00PM on the dot (that means dont be late, I wont wait)

Where: In and Out Burger
641 Leavesly Road
Gilroy, CA 95020

The In-n-Out is located just off 101 and near whatever that stupid
freeway is that leads to I-5.

Other info:
We'll probably stay at some ghetto motel near some stripclubs. (fun!) If not, please make arrangements and find a nearby motel/hotel beforehand. Or just sleep in your car, whatever works.

FRISCO/NEARBY AREA PEEPS: Meet up at City College of San Francisco @ 3PM (in the back of the 1st resevoir) to make the drive down to Gilroy. I won't wait past 3:15PM at most.

Tix will be available at the door But not to many looking at how last years thing was sold out.

D1GP is in Irwindale, California.

This is the 2nd D1 event in the States. The first was an exhibition that didnt count, this one is a REAL competition round for the 2004 season.

Presells for tickets are over, and you can only get them at the door for $30. Although who knows how many are left, they can only seat a little over 8,000 and they sold the last one out...

We'll probably be coming back on sunday but I do want to go to AUTOBACS, so it may not be until the evening.

Also, if any of you have 2-way radios please bring them.. makes it easier to coordinate/find stragglers/goofoff/etc.

We'll be on Channel 7. :P

And yeah.. who wants to split a room at Comfort Inn?

I don't wanna risk gettin down ther late and all the motels near the Speedway are full.. :P

Cost for the room is $50 + tax and if I get another 3 people to split it... $12 per person.

Anyone down? the rooms are nice.. but make sure you bring a sleeping bag or something. wont be enough beds (obviously)

I was lookin at the days inn in duarte right down the street from the comfort inn. $117 for 2 days for 2ppl, 2 queen beds. That way only one person has to do the floor thing.

Ok I'm going to reserve a room at the Comfort Inn tonight (2/25). If anyone wants to split a room with me POST NOW and I will get a room with 2 queens (~$70 per person for both nights). Otherwise Im just going to get a one-bed room which sucks for me, but I want to get this done now.

ok what route you guys takin? im thinkin about takin my 86 cawz the ride i had planned bailed on us.....u guys said ur meetin in gilroy on the 101? so will you guys be takin the 101 down to LA? kawz if i take my 86 ima be in Salinas "30min south of gilroy"....i have to pick up my girl....but yea if you guys are goin south 101 let me know i myght be intrested in the caravan.....aslo anyone else takin their 86's? i havent made the trip to LA in my car and just wanna know what to expect/what to carry.....and myght wanna jump in on a room for the night or so....we dont have much cash and are willing to sleep on the floor....hehe!..no im serious!
