Why would you leave it there after being ignored for so long. After 6 months I would have gone and picked my shit up and taken it elsewhere. This happens far to often :/

Yeah, after I talked to them they asked for another month to get the car all ready and wanted to add some extra work as to attempt to make up for the extended time it all took. So I agreed and it's been like 3 months now and they won't respond to me.

So I took a day off, Dec 1-2nd and I bought a Tahoe during this time and will rent a Uhaul. Unless one of my local Vegas zilvians has one I can borrow.
My only fear is that I show up and the shop is closed....

After driving 6 hours and renting hotel rooms.
Since they don't answer phones and Han hasn't answered my texts or calls.
And the shop never answers the phone either. Lol
To me it's a scary situation. However I did send them Facebook messages also informing them of my scheduled trip.
It would be awesome if anyone that lives nearby could stop by there and make sure they will be ready for me to pickup the car on the 1st.
In person it's impossible for them to ignore.

BTW to answer the previous question the reason why I didn't to before was because I have 2 other cars and had another build underway too with my m3, so it would have just been stored for now.

My roommate works right down the street from that shop... I can have him stop by and see what's up. Or I'll swing by next time I'm in the area.

i feel for you bud. i had to do the same thing because my car was at a body shop for approx 3 years. you get the "manana manana" treatment and progress is slow, then phones stop getting answered and your shit falls to the wayside. i would usually show up and try to help put some work in, keep the project moving... and one day i just snapped. rolled up in a van and took my car out in pieces: fenders, doors, hatch, seats, etc. day 2 i came back with a trailer and took back my chassis.

this should be taken as a warning to any and everyone building and modifying their cars, be careful of the shops you trust. better hope that they have been around for years and have a good rap. otherwise, your project can easily fall into the abyss known as purgatory, and then you have to restart again and find another shop, pay again, etc...

get that car back and blast these fuckers

Update: Han contacted me today and my trip is scheduled for the 1st of December! Thanks Sean (az_240) for your help again!
Will update everyone when it's picked up and safe.
I want to have this thing done by mid summer next year.
M3 is nearly done so I'll get started on this in Jan.

Having worked for twats like this in the past I really feel for you man. We had instances like this where the shop owner would have us shuffle a bit around on cars and have them up on a lift for when the customer arrived and then after they left, he'd have the car rolled right back out telling us he just 'bought a bit more time' with the customer. The worst part of it all is how often this also included collecting payments from the customer. Glad to see you getting out of this situation and I'm looking forward to seeing this build pick up steam again. Perhaps a proper build thread is in order, or at least moving this to the build section.

So it finally arrived, it was a pain in the as to unload since the steering column isn't there and the wheels turned freely.
Finally looking at it in person made me realize how much work it still has ahead of it. But nothing that $15000 won't handle lol.. jk...
No but seriously...
Interior is bare, no wiring, steering, pedals, seats.
Needs custom rear end, and custom driveshaft.
I am hoping to get ready started on it beggining of the year before summer, so I should have some updates by then!

I think they just towed it with the fork lift
Since the front wheels were completely turning loose.. every half foot we moved it the wheel would completely turn fully to the side!
